Seawinds in the heart of Killybegs, just walking distance to restaurants and entertainment. Start the day with a hearty breakfast, while watching the magnificent fishing boats coming and going in the harbour from the breakfast room window.
Then in the afternoon for the watercolour class, you can discover the unique qualities of this subtle and expressive form of painting. Capture the beauty of still life in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. This painting afternoon offers practical guidance and plenty of useful advice on drawing, colour mixing and watercolour technique.

The tutor, Laura Buckley has a BA honours degree in Fine Art and gained a distinction in Botanical illustration from the London Art College. She has lived and worked in Donegal for 17 years and exhibited both in Donegal and South West England. She is an experienced tutor who loves teaching and has worked with all age groups.

Then in the evening, relax and unwind by the open fire and reflect on your paintings!

In the afternoon, the local experienced tour guide, Derek will take you to discover the real Donegal. You’ll meet the people and their places. See and feel the landscape and the ancient monuments within it. Uncover Stone Age tombs, Iron Age forts up to more modern picturesque thatch cottages. Be brought to Slieve League Sea Cliffs, secluded beaches and fishing ports nestled in this much indented and rugged coastline. Derek will discuss all aspects of history, archaeology, geography, geology, flora & fauna and the life in Donegal
